We recently shared our favorite Carne Guisada-style Wagyu Stew Bites on Instagram, and fans asked for the full recipe — so here it is.
🔥 Recipe: Wagyu Carne Guisada (Texas Stew Bites)
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 1.5–2 hrs
Serves: 4–6 (or ~12 tacos)
Ingredients:

2 lbs of 3C Joppa “Stew Bites” (a blend of Ribeye, NY Strip, and Filet)

2 tbsp oil
-
2 cups water
-
5 tbsp Carne Guisada Seasoning (we use Fiesta Brand)

¾ cup water for seasoning mix
Optional for milder version:

3 tbsp seasoning + 1 tbsp flour or cornstarch
Instructions:

Heat oil in a heavy pot and brown the Wagyu Stew Bites evenly.

Carefully add 2 cups of water and cover. Simmer on low for 1–2 hours until fork-tender. Add more water as needed.

In a small bowl, mix seasoning with ¾ cup water (or your mild version mix).

Slowly whisk the mix into the stew, stirring gently.

Simmer uncovered for another 15 minutes until the gravy thickens.

Serve with warm tortillas, rice, or eat straight from the pot.
